Austin's Matt Drenik, aka Battleme, is set to hit the road with a Fall West Coast tour in support of his self-titled debut album – available now via Trashy Moped Records. The tour kicks off in Matt's current hometown with a gig at MusicFest NorthWest in Portland, OR on September 7th where Battleme will be playing alongside Passion Pit, Girl Talk, A-Trak, and many others. The festival performance is followed by six stops in California, including San Pedro's LobsterFest at Ports O'Call Village on September 16th, as well as Oakland's The New Parish on September 21st. The short West Coast trek wraps up on October 11th at The Sunset in Seattle.

Battleme was formed in 2009 by Matt Drenik who made a name for himself fronting the Austin-based rock-outfit Lions. A solo project, Battleme was a creative outlet for Matt following his unexpected diagnosis of Uveits, a rare auto immune disease that affects the eyes, has no known cause or cure, and can lead to blindness. Around this same time, Matt moved to Portland (for a lady) and just started writing. Drenik's songs made their way from Portland to Austin and back again for six months, landing in the hands of Ghostland Observatory's Thomas Turner who loved them and not only wanted to produce the album, but wanted to release it. Many songs, including the unreleased "Burn this Town" and "Time," made their way to episodes of the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy and brought Battleme some early buzz and media attention.

"Touch," the lead single and video off the LP, gained praise from fans and critics alike. MTV Buzzworthy premiered the video and Paper Magazine selected the video as their "Video of the Day." The Atlantic chose the song for their "Song of the Day" and it was even included in the Washing Post "Singles" column. "Shoot The Noise" has also become a fan favorite and was included EA Sport's NHL 13 video game.
