"When I was 18 years old I had the privilege to record an album with the great blues legend, Johnny Shines, under the name Marc Bell for Biograph Records in 1974. I was always into the Blues, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and the modern blues masters like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Along with Jazz, Rock and Roll and Punk Rock, the Blues started in America and eventually spread throughout the world. Hearing Meyer Rossabi and others who have been influenced by the greats, I can say the Blues will never die. After all, there's a bit of Blues in all of us. I was happy to record these three songs for my longtime friend Meyer Rossabi." - Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award Winner Marky Ramone
