Indian Ranch has announced that Grand Funk Railroad will return to the stage at the popular Webster, MA venue tonight, July 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm.

Rolling Stone’s David Fricke has said: “You cannot talk about rock in the 1970s without talking about Grand Funk Railroad.” Grand Funk laid the groundwork for such bands as Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen and Bon Jovi with its signature hard driving sound, soulful vocals, muscular instrumentation and forceful pop melodies. Mega-hits We're An American Band, I'm Your Captain/Closer To Home, Locomotion, and Some Kind Of Wonderful still receive continuous airplay on classic rock radio.

Originating in Flint, Michigan in 1969, this top selling American rock group of the '70s is “Comin’ to your town to help you party it down.” Grand Funk Railroad features founding members Don Brewer and Mel Schacher, who are joined by veterans Max Carl (38 Special),  Bruce Kulick (KISS), and Tim Cashion (Bob Seger).

Indian Ranch offers music lovers a chance to see some of the greatest country, roots rock, classic rock and pop bands steps from the sandy shore of Lake  Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg.  In addition to Grand Funk Railroad, Indian Ranch will host a star studded calendar of concerts this year including shows from Three Dog Night, Little Feat, the Bacon Brothers, Gretchen Wilson, Travis Tritt and more. Nestled between pine trees, the amphitheater offers the ability to see the stage from anywhere in the audience.
