Gwar comes to the Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip on Monday, April 9th for the spring leg of their Return of the World Maggot Tour with special guests.
About the band: "Metal veterans Gwar have been unleashing their heavy metal holocaust on fans for 25 years and they’re still shocking as ever, with no end in sight. The un-disputed masters of “shock rock” have released their 12th original album GWAR’s Bloody Pit of Horror, their most mind-melting musical masterpiece to date."
"The members of this unique band are “characters” to say the least. GWAR is a group of alien monsters who were banished to Earth millions of years ago as punishment for their cosmic crimes. They were frozen in the wasteland of Antarctica and recently de-thawed by global warming. Since their de-thawing, they have been making music and touring non-stop. Led by pig-nosed lead singer, Oderus Urungus, each member of the band is a character in the band and dresses accordingly. Be prepared for a bloody musical assault on your eyes and ears and a live concert like none other.
The band recently lost guitarist Cory Smoot, AKA Flattus Maximus, and are continuing to tour as a four- piece. The band holds a special tribute to Flattus at the end of the show, in order for fans to have a chance to say goodbye to fellow fallen Scumdog."
