Imagem Music Group Acquires 5 Alarm Music

Imagem Music Group, one of the world's largest independent music publishers and owner of Boosey & Hawkes and Rodgers & Hammerstein, has announced the acquisition of the leading independent US production library music company, 5 Alarm Music, in a move that will add significant weight to Imagem's existing production music services which includes Cavendish, Abaco and Strip Sounds. Cavendish, one of the world's oldest library music catalogues dating back to the 1930s, is represented by 5 Alarm in America effective immediately.

California-based 5 Alarm Music is a production music specialist. The company represents over 40 music libraries and in excess of 115,000 tracks. The company also owns the 5 Alarm, Rescue Records, IVU and Cinema Sounds catalogues, all of which are included in this sale.

Imagem Music Group, which recently announced the opening of a new production music division in the Netherlands to complement their existing London office, has acquired 5 Alarm Music as a going concern and will support the business in its continued development as a market leading production music company in the USA. Cassie Lord, who set up and has been running 5 Alarm Music since its launch 9 years ago as General Manager, will continue to be responsible for 5 Alarm Music as part of her new job as Vice President/General Manager for all library and production music activities of Imagem in the USA.
