Six bands and musicians have been hand-picked from the Italian music scene, representing both up-and-coming artists as well as well-established stars. They have been brought together for a triple city tour called HIT Week, which includes New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami.

These artists will perform in NYC on October 10th (Le Poisson Rouge) and 11th (Highline Ballroom). Event details are listed below.

HIT Week is organized in part by the Italian Government and 15-year music industry veteran, Francesco Del Maro, who believes Italy's popular music doesn't get the international recognition it deserves. "Hit Week doesn't focus on the music that's recognizably from Italy," explains Del Maro. "The language isn't important. We're looking for music of global caliber; that's so good, it doesn't matter where it's from." This formula has worked: In its short history, Hit Week's audiences have doubled and the festival has established a foothold in some of the toughest U.S. markets.
