Steve Vai's STORY OF LIGHT Tour Stops at Florida's Palladium, 8/16

Virtuoso guitarist and visionary composer Steve Vai today announces his official 2012 North American Tour in support of the upcoming release The Story of Light, a new solo album of original material, to be released on August 14 (Favored Nations Entertainment). The tour kicks off the next day, August 15, at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida's Revolution and ends October 13 in Agoura Hills, Calif. Presented by Ruth Eckerd Hall On The Road, the tour makes a stop at the Palladium at St. Petersburg College on Thursday, August 16 at 8 pm. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 15 at noon at the Palladium box office.

In addition to regular concert ticket sales, Vai fans can purchase a unique and special premium package – the EVO Experience – which includes a meet and greet pass, a Q&A session with Steve Vai, access to sound check, a 2012 Story of Light Tour Program, an exclusive EVO Experience laminate and a number of other Vai merchandise items. EVO Experience premium tickets will soon be available for purchase through Vai's website, www.Vai.com. A limited number of EVO Experience tickets are available for each show.

The Story of Light is available for online pre-sale orders, including a special pre-sale selection of bundled packages, on www.Vai.com.

Reserved tickets priced at $45.00 and $35.00 will be available at the Palladium Box Office located at 253 Fifth Avenue N in downtown St. Petersburg, by calling 727.822.3590 or by logging onto www.myPalladium.org. The Palladium ticket office is open Wednesday thru Friday from noon to 3 pm and three hours before showtime.
